Higher Ground has a ton of awesome content, unique implementation of WordPress and an amazing design.

Their site uses a mix of traditional HTML and WordPress. They told me they originally styled the entire front page in WordPress using the Revolution Theme by Brian Gardner but it was easier for them to get the custom layout and graphics using HTML and tables.

HG4×4 features tons of articles that interest the off-road community. Their Tech and Review section ranges from installing a new stereo system to chopping a jeep hood to make more room for tires.

They are using WordPress to write most of their articles, taking advantage of the easy  posting and editing it allows. They are also using it for commenting and tracking visitor statistics.

They are also using several different plugins for their site including NextGen Gallery, FLV Player and WordPress.com Stats

Lastly I just want to comment on the overall site design and feel. They have really taken WordPress to a new level, rather then using it for an ordinary blog they turned it into something new and exciting. Great job!!
